Following the recession in 1992 and in particular the demise of Conder Structures, one of the industries leading players, Conder's two senior section leaders Mike Brown and Phil Hounsome, pulled resources with Andy Leitch, then proprietor of Angle Structural Services to form BHL Technical Services Ltd.

Originally based near Southampton Docks, BHL relocated to Chandlers Ford during 1995.  Since then BHL has tripled its office space and increased its staff to the current level.

In 1998 BHL Cadtech was formed to cater for the ever increasing electronic drawing market, and is now the sole trading company.

BHL continues to offer traditional drawing techniques and is now able to offer design and management services.

 

BHL was formed in a recession during an era when individual subcontractors enjoyed a mutual and collective responsibility.  This sense of mutual co-operation and appreciation of individual worth has been the ethos of the company ever since.

BHL is determined to progress within its philosophy which is to deliver a quality product on-time and within budget, for the benefit of the client, the company and the individuals within it.
BHL aims to:
  1. Provide a product that is accurate and meets the individual clients needs.
  2. Have a stable trusting relationship with clients, that through honest and regular communication is able to withstand external pressures.
  3. Provide staff with an environment of stability and reward.
